Summary:
As Programs and Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with the Board of Directors, Executive Director, and TRFM team to prioritize and execute projects maintaining the market’s mission, vision and values in the community. This work is a commitment to long-term relationship building & fostering community. Projects include special events, social media, marketing campaigns, market and food outreach programming, volunteer scheduling, and onsite market operations.
Marketing & Content Creation:
This position requires management of all social media accounts, and the creation and consistent upkeep of all content and promotion on the TRFM website, newsletter, and all printed materials. Among other duties, this role will create marketing graphics and materials for education, promotion of programs, fundraising events (by working with the events committee), and act as contact for all media correspondence (media appearances, creation of press releases, etc.).
Food Access Coordination:
In this role you will oversee all administrative tasks related to food access and internal programs such as maintaining organized systems for tracking food access programs, maintaining program needs, and distributing reimbursement checks to vendors. Among other duties, you will develop community partners to promote and grow awareness of food access programs such as SNAP, Healthy Bucks and TRFM for All, while conducting vendor training sessions for initiatives such as Senior Voucher certifications. This requires time management skills to stay on track with deadlines and manage financial data in a professional manner.
Event Planning & Organization
This role is also responsible for scheduling all event-related programs that do not pertain to vendors, such as market kids activities, market fitness programs, etc. They will also oversee volunteer training and scheduling volunteers for market days. This role will be an integral part of onsite operations on market days, including but not limited to, event set-up & breakdown, vendor assistance, hospitality and customer service, programming point of contact, food access distribution, & social media coverage.
This role will also have the opportunity for further development of new programs as TRFM continues to grow and expand in the future.
Please note: All TRFM employees are required to attend all market days unless special approval is received. This requires working Saturdays throughout the summer (April - September) during the early morning. This role will work with a team, occasionally directing/training volunteers, to do setup and breakdown of the market, helping run the administration tent, and creating live social media content during the market.
Minimum qualifications:
2+ years of experience working in marketing, social media management, communication, event planning, local food system, or other related fields.
Experience working in content creation and social media management, & website upkeep with a foundational understanding of marketing and advertising
Excellent written and oral communication, and positive, professional customer-relationship management skills with a very wide range of people including vendors, customers, and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex logistics, anticipate needs & risks, and proactively prepare or event coordination/ hospitality experience.
Must bring a curiosity and interest to learn more about local food, farming and a basic understanding of local food economies, and food outreach
Ability to work independently and expertly handle multiple, multi-component projects and deadlines
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, solution based thinking and decision-making abilities
Proficient with Canva (or similar design platform), Google Suite, and Squarespace website management.
The candidate must have the ability to lift 20+ lbs, spend 7+ hours on their feet, and complete physical labor in extreme temperatures and weather conditions

Salary: $33,000 + $2,000 insurance stipend
Work Hours: 30-35 Hours a Week
May- Sept: Tues- Fri 10AM-4PM (+2 hrs social media), & Saturdays 6:30AM- 1:00PM
October: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri :10AM-5PM, & Thurs 2PM-9PM
Nov-April: Tues- Fri: 10AM-5PM (+2 hrs social media)
Additional Evenings/ Weekends:
Monthly Board Meetings: 6PM- 8PM

TRFM daily operation hours are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., unless it is active market season where weekly schedules may shift. In order to accommodate the market business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends, evenings and designated office hours. Some shifts/tasks may be eligible to be completed remotely.
TRFM full-time staff representation is mandatory at all markets, unless excused in advance by the Board of Directors, with no less than one TRFM staff person present at each market.
