Young Entrepreneurs
**Applications have closed for the 2026 season!**
The fifth annual Young Entrepreneurs contest is sponsored by the Bank of Travelers Rest! We are looking to find the brightest Young Entrepreneurs to host at our market. Applicants will be chosen by a panel of local judges based on a creative and a clear business plan. Children ages 8 -15 are encouraged to enter. Applications will open at the end of May and close on June 20th.
We will be hosting a workshop for all applicants on June 24th. Meet other Young Entrepreneurs and learn from local business owners about the process of selling, creating, and marketing! We will practice business skills and prepare for Pitch Night as a group.
On June 26th, we will host "Pitch Night" to determine our Young Entrepreneurs of the Year! Parents, grandparents, friends and community members are welcome to attend as the Young Entrepreneurs present their businesses to a panel of judges.
All Young Entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to sell at the Travelers Rest Farmers Market in July-August. The winners will be announced at the Kids Bike Parade on July 4th!
